Happy New Year!

We've had a great Christmas and week leading up to the new year! Here are a few pics of our events over the past week. Marvin and I are celebrating our 25th new year together in the sleepy looking picture! Here's to at least 25 more!

Santa

We saw Santa finally! It was fun. (Reese helped me type this). We waited for an hour and a half, but it was totally worth it!

Dinner excitement

Went to try a new Mexican restaurant by the lake. We got to sit outside under the heaters, and low and behold, we had some little visitors!

Christmas at school!

To say that I was showered with gifts today at school is an understatement! I love all my kids and families!

This was our attempt to see Santa. The big guy was booked, but we still had some fun!

Great Sunday!

We had the most perfect Sunday, starting with finding a wonderful church in Ahwatukee. The girls loved Sunday school and I loved the sermon. Nothing like a good old-fashioned, no loud rock band church service!

After, we ate lunch at In-n-out and headed to the Desert Botanical Museum. That place is so beautiful and we're so thankful that grandpa bought a membership we could use!

Spring break

We had a great spring break with Lesley and Todd visiting for a week! The girls were sure sad to see them go. Hope we can have another visit sooner than later!

Lexi, BMX Racer

Lexi started racing BMX bikes about a week ago. She won 3rd place in her first race after another rider went down. She was so excited!

This week she tried again, but had a rough day. No crashes, but she kept up with the other kids much better and got tangled up with another rider. She didn't make the main event, but learned a valuable lesson. Always try your best, because you never know when you'll get another chance!

Spinner

My silly cat thinks he needs to crawl under the cover with me every night. Annoying, but sweet!

More great deals!

Fry's had another round of buy 4 and save $4, and I still had great coupons, so I went back. I got the vitamin water and Lady Speed Stick as money makers. The Old Spice was $.49, crest for $.69, cereals for $.60. I made $1.01 on the Secret, but had to buy the Olay to get it, but had 2 two dollar coupons to use. The CG eye shadows were between 30 and 55 cents. All in all, I did great! The only thing I didn't have a coupon for was marshmallows and they were holiday, so only 69 cents!
