Light Family Update
Wow! I'm really horrible at this blogging stuff. To update you all since the last post. I finished my student teaching and graduated from Drake University in Dec. 09. I am substitute teaching and although I love the variety of experiences, I really want a permanent job. I am applying for positions in other states, mainly out west. Hopefully I will hear something soon and we will be settling in to a new routine (one that involves a steady paycheck)!
Marvin finally decided to close the bike shop after sales took a huge nose dive after the summer cycling season. He is now a full time student and is taking environmental science classes. He also began a part-time internship with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He works at a wildlife refuge east of Des Moines.
Lexi is almost done with 1st grade and has enjoyed being involved with girl scouts this year. She will begin playing softball in another month or so and is looking forward to girl scout camp! Reese is almost four and still LOVES going to head start each day. I really wish head start was available to all children regardless of financial needs. The program is wonderful and she is getting such exposure to some really great things.
